In May 2025, Anne performed at the International Women’s Brass Conference as the flugelhorn solo chair with Athena Brass Band. She had the privledge of premiering Jen Oliverio’s work, Spark! for Bb Soloist and Brass Band.
In June, Anne taught and performed at the Corfu International Trumpet Festival in Corfu, Greece. Three of her students also attended and performed in the conference, Braden Lueking (’28), Kyterra Waters (MM ’26), and Katherine Shindledecker Blade (MM ’23).
The ISU Trumpet studio is excited to host Professor Wiff Rudd from Baylor University on Monday October 28-Tuesday October 29, 2024. All events are open to the public.

Anne had an amazing time performing and presenting at the 2024 International Women’s Brass Conference in Mito City, Japan this past August. She performed the flugelhorn solo chair with the Sakura Brass band (combined Athena Brass Band and Japan Ladies Brass) on the Friday night concert. Anne also presented on her qualitative research, “Behind their Desk: The Collective Experience of Non-Male Trumpet Professors” that Friday morning at the conference.
On Friday June 14, 2024, Drs. Anne and Shawn McNamara presented a workshop on Brass Pedagogy for the Illinois State University Band Director Workshop.

On February 1, 2024, Anne performed flugelhorn with the Athena Brass Band at the Ohio Music Educator’s Conference in Columbus, Ohio.
It was such a blast making new connections and reconnecting with friends. The band sounded incredible! Anne’s looking forward to performing on flugel again with them in Japan at the 2024 International Women’s Brass Conference!
