The 2021-2022 school year has been a whirlwind with lots of exciting things happening in the I.S.U. Trumpet Studio. Highlights include:
- November 2021: Mark Inouye, Principal Trumpet of the San Francisco Symphony visited and presented a masterclass
- January 2022: Grad student Seth Marshall competed in the semi-finals of the I.S.U. Orchestral Concerto Competition and grad student Katherine Shindledecker competed in the finals of the I.S.U. Band Concerto Competition.
- March 2022: Jeri Blade, KT Freimuth, Seth Marshall, Christian McLaughlin, Katherine Shindledecker and Ryan Valdivia traveled to Newark, Delaware to compete in the National Trumpet Competition small ensemble division quarter-finals.
- The studio was also visited virtually by Dr. Sarah Herbert of Western Kentucky University and Dr. Sarah Stoneback of Montana State University.
